Chandrayaan-1 faces overheating problem!

Local newspapers are reporting that the payloads onboard Chandrayaan-1 are getting upto 10° hotter than expected. "Isro is trying to cool the devices and stable opeartions are not possible until the maximum temperature is brought down." the chairman of ISRO, Madhavan Nair, said in a press conference.

Indian Navy destroys pirate ship

The Indian warship INS Tabar has set a pirate ship on fire, when fired upon by the pirates. The pirate infected Gulf of Aden has seen a surge in hijacking of commercial ships in recent months. The Indian government sent the naval ship to the Gulf of Aden, after a Japanese ship with Indian crew was hijacked. Until yesterday's incident, INS Tabar had successfully defended two ships against hijack attempts.

Breaking News: Chandrayaan-1 enters lunar orbit

CNN-IBN is reporting that Chandrayaan-1 has started orbitting the moon with a perigee of around 500 kms. Congrats ISRO, congrats India!!!

Chandrayaan-1 takes Moon's pictures!

Chandrayaan-1, India's Moon orbiter, has taken pictures of Moon using its terrain mapping camera (TMC).

The scientists and engineers of ISRO deserve all credits for the spectacular success of Chandrayaan. I am even more delightd to see Chandryaan aproaching Moon, because one of my classmates was involved in the project. Congrats ISRO!!!
